Topography Carving
These carvings are done using government elevation data along with a handful of other data sources to generate the topography file. That is turned into a 3D model and is then carved on the CNC router. Finally, they’re sanded, shaped, and finished by hand. When I take pictures of these, when I can I try to bring the light in from the direction you’d actually see it during a sunrise or sunset.
