There are lots of good ways to organize your wood collection. I don’t really use any of them, but that doesn’t mean they don’t exist. Since primarily what I like doing is intarsia, my wood collection is organized by color. With a bandsaw and drum sander, I can usually mill a section down to most any dimension needed. The biggest struggle is “too good to use” syndrome. I have so many beautiful pieces that keep not getting used because they’re going to be perfect for a future project!
