So this is one I’ve wanted to try for a while. It’s pretty easy in theory, but there are a few tricky parts related to cutting it in a way where everything fits back together without a gap. My intent was to cut a template and use my router to make a perfect curve and perfect fit, but it turns out I don’t have the guide bushing set I thought I did. I ordered one, but it also turns out I’m not patient enough to wait a week for it to get here so I glue/taped the two boards together and cut it on the bandsaw. I cut a few thin strips of maple to fill in the kerf and forced it all together. Learned a lot. It has a few too many flaws for my liking so it’ll probably end up going to someone who will do some abuse testing on it, or it’ll get cut up and used for dialing in vcarve inlay settings for some other projects I want to try.
