This guy was my first real large scale dealing with purple heart and when I was still 100% on the scroll saw. The wood is beautiful, but it’s hard to cut and shape. An interesting thing I did learn was that you can deepen the color of the wood with heat. Sometimes by accident when sanding, sometimes on purpose with a heat gun.
