Dragon’s Eye Carving

Another carving pattern that stood out to me. Two things worked really well here. I used a piece of Wenge I had laying around because I thought the red and black would look interesting. I think it works, but the cool accident was the large grain really made the scales feel scaly. The second thing here was it was the first time I tried using a pyrography tool to fill in areas that should be dark (the pupils and nostrils) which I feel made a big difference.
