Sailboat Scene

This is an improved version of one of the first intarsia pieces I ever did. The size was chosen based on the largest piece of ambrosia maple I had. The frame is cut as a single piece on the CNC router. The black limba (used for the water), did not want to cooperate. At that thickness, it kept catching on fire in the laser. I ended up milling it down thin enough to cut and using risers to give a little depth.
